Distribute to testers (channels & links)
Besides publishing to the app stores, BuildStack can hand a finished build straight to your own testers as an install link — no Play/App Store review, no store account needed. This is separate from Google Play:
- Distribute to testers = a BuildStack install link + open/install analytics,
delivered through your own channels. Great for internal QA and quick shares.
- Publish to Google Play = a signed AAB uploaded to a Play track for the store.
Channels and tester groups
Open the project → Distribution:
- Channels — named release tracks like
stagingorproduction. Create one
before your first distribution.
- Tester groups — lists of email addresses that get emailed the install link
automatically whenever you release to a channel.
Distribute a build
- Open a succeeded build.
- Click Distribute (formerly "Release").
- Pick a channel, optionally set a version label and release notes, and
Send to testers.
Testers in that channel's groups get the install link by email, and the release appears under Distribution → Releases with a copyable link and install counts.
